Nancy is a New Orleans artist who paints colorful stylized portraits, indoor scenes, still lifes, and landscapes.  She is self-taught and primarily works in acrylics and oils.  Her favorite subjects are people and their stories.  Nancy was first inspired by painters like Chagall, Valadon, Neel, and Modigliani and has long appreciated the way these painters expressed not only their subjects’ stories but the artist’s own story.  In her works, Nancy’s love of painting, writing and storytelling merge to create a snapshot of the joys and anxieties of the moment.
